Established in 2015 by Chris Sheppard after a 30 year career in corporate HR, the vision was simple, to provide practical HR support to smaller businesses that was focused on the people and the relationships that existed within the business rather than the more transactional HR model often found in larger organisations.

Coming from a long line of family business owners Chris knew that for many smaller businesses the relationship between the owners and their people is much more personal, seeing them more as family members than employees.  Whilst that brought great benefits to the business, it could make it difficult to have pragmatic and impartial conversations to resolve issues should they arise.

In our experience, having independent HR support focused on obtaining the best possible outcome for all but without the additional emotional connection, can be a real asset to any process.  It provides integrity and transparency that helps to facilitate open engagement by all parties leading to a more positive outcome.

Working with a trusted team of associates, we can tailor our services to meet the needs of your business, working either on a project or retained basis and providing options including a fully outsourced solution, mentoring and support to your in-house HR team or simply to provide maternity or paternity cover for a fixed period of time.
